Thames Water Utilities Ltd
Storm Water Pumping Station, Crossness Treatment Works
£210k
Following Bazalgette’s vision for cleaning up 19th Century London, these imposing industrial buildings constructed at the Crossness treatment site became instrumental in the new water treatment infrastructure.
WCJ Ltd were initially appointed by Thames Water to appraise the condition of building fabric at the Storm Water Pumping Station and Precipitation Pumping Station and schedule remedial works required to repair and maintain the building fabric. Due to the listed status of these buildings, repair methods had to be sympathetic to the style and character of the original buildings.
Subsequently, we were instructed to provide project management and design services, manage a formal tender procedure and provide contract administration services for a substantial refurbishment works project.
