WCJ were instructed to inspect and provide a report of remedial works for Lambeth Council in a litigation case where the local authority was being sued for disrepair. The property was suffering from water ingress and penetration and flooding from the property above. For the works to proceed investigations were carried out, problems were located with the plumbing installation to the property above combined with defective drainage causing backsurges.

The defective plumbing installation was repaired, remedial works carried out to electrical wiring and fittings, contaminated plaster was removed and reinstated, new skirtings timber repairs and floor coverings were fitted and the property completely decorated. The property is now ready to be tenanted.
