Blue Waters, Ferring

Located in a stunning sea front location, these luxury apartments are being constructed in South Ferring by a prestigious residential developer.

Construction was complicated by the need to design a basement car park directly under the footprint of the building. The car park had to satisfactorily resist the high groundwater level resulting from the close proximity of the sea.

A contiguous piled solution was adopted for the basement retaining structure, which was supplemented by a reinforced concrete internal box, designed as a water retaining structure. A transfer structure, comprising deep steel beams, supported the superstructure of the 3 storey building above the basement.

The building was completed in May 2009
