This challenging project included the construction of a basement level lecture theatre facility under an existing seven storey,1950’s steel framed building.
The works involved the removal of a number of existing columns, necessitating the transfer of original load paths onto the existing structure and included the construction of a substantial new steel framed extension.
WCJ Ltd were appointed as structural engineer and were part of a multi discipline design team.
