WCJ Ltd were engaged to undertake a detailed inspection and organize specialist concrete sampling and testing of the structural frame within St Georges public swimming baths in Wapping, East London,
Our investigations discovered extensive corrosion of embedded steel reinforcement and associated damage to a number of the structural frame components.
Specialist concrete testing concluded that corrosion had resulted from chloride attack, promoted by chlorinated pool water escaping from the pool surrounds and pool tanks.
